Andrea Ballesteros July 3, 2026
July in Laguna Beach is nothing short of magical. Between the golden sunsets, the smell of salt air, and a packed calendar of art, music, and celebration, there's no better place to spend your summer. Whether you're a longtime local or thinking about making Laguna your home, here's everything happening this July that you'll want to mark on your calendar.
There's something undeniably special about watching fireworks over the Pacific, and Laguna delivers every year. Head to Monument Point at Heisler Park for the city's annual fireworks show, lighting up the sky at 9:00 p.m. Before the big finale, catch the Condor Squadron flyover at 5:45 p.m. a stunning display of vintage WWII-era aircraft that never gets old. Arrive early to snag a great spot, and don't forget a blanket and pack a picnic to make a full evening of it.
Celebrating its 60th year, the Sawdust Art Festival is one of Laguna Beach's most beloved summer traditions and this year is extra special. Nestled in an enchanting outdoor eucalyptus-lined setting at 935 Laguna Canyon Road, the festival showcases over 180 local Laguna Beach artists selling original paintings, photography, jewelry, sculpture, clothing, and handcrafted collectibles.
Beyond the art, there's plenty to keep the whole family entertained: three live entertainment stages running daily, roaming performers including balloon artists and magicians, and free art classes offered every day in ceramics, painting, mixed media, and more. Grab a drink at the Sawdust Saloon and a bite from one of six outdoor dining options, then settle in and soak up the creative energy that makes this festival one of a kind.
Hours: Sun–Thu 11am–8pm | Fri–Sat 11am–10pm (Special hours July 4th: open until 4pm)
Running all summer long, the Festival of Arts is one of Southern California's most iconic cultural events. This year's season kicks off July 7th and features fine art from over 120 Orange County artists, along with workshops, live entertainment, and special events throughout the season.
The crown jewel of the festival is the legendary Pageant of the Masters; a one-of-a-kind theatrical experience where real people recreate famous works of art in stunning, jaw-dropping detail. It's the kind of evening that stays with you long after the curtain falls. Tickets for the Pageant sell out, so grab yours in advance.
Location: 650 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach
Looking for a laid-back way to wrap up your weekend? The city's free Music in the Park concert series takes over Bluebird Park on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. throughout July and August. Bring a picnic, invite your friends, and enjoy live music with the community. This month's highlights include:
It's free, it's fun, and it's pure Laguna.
July in Laguna Beach is a reminder of why so many people fall in love with this town and never want to leave. From world-class art to barefoot concerts in the park, life here has a rhythm all its own.
